My father passed away long ago, but whenever I eat tofu dengaku, I’m reminded of his stories.

He used to tell me that, back in his youth, there were families who served tofu dengaku on the night of Hōonkō, a Buddhist memorial gathering. He often said it was so delicious that he could never forget the taste—even after all these years.
